MCA Upgrades Stadium Facilities To Enhance Fan Experience For India-England T20 Match In Pune
Pune, January 29, 2025: The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) will host the much-anticipated T20 match between India and England at the iconic MCA Stadium, Pune, on January 31, 2025.
Speaking to reporters the President Of MCA Mr Rohit Pawar said at MCA, our primary focus is on delivering the best facilities and a memorable experience for all our visitors. From improved infrastructure to enhanced security and thoughtful amenities, every initiative underscores our dedication to serving the needs of our spectators and stakeholders. We have a lot of learnings from previous matches and we have planned our changes accordingly.
He further added “to ensure seamless operations and spectator comfort, we are pleased to announce several infrastructure enhancements at the stadium including Upgraded Press Conference Room, Convenient Parking Facility for Spectators, enhanced Washroom Facilities, strengthened security, ample and Free availability of Drinking Water for Spectators
Hon Secretary of MCA Kamlesh Pisal said that the Maharashtra Cricket Association has embarked on major changes at the MCA Stadium with an effort of enhancing Fan Experience and providing exceptional experience for spectators, media personnel, and all stakeholders attending this match.
We have increased the parking area, A 45-acre area has been allocated exclusively for general parking for spectators, ensuring ample space and convenience. Dedicated parking routes and slots have been designed to streamline vehicular movement. Videos and photos highlighting these routes will be shared on MCA’s official Instagram account, making access easier for visitors. We are trying to use technology with our ticketing partners to ensure ticket holders are informed about their parking slots well in advance.
The spectators’ washroom facilities at the North Stand have been significantly increased, catering to the growing attendance. We have also newly constructed washrooms for the press and media personnel to ensure their convenience and comfort,” Pisal added.
“Acting on suggestions from previous matches, we will be unveiling a state-of-the-art press conference room that has been built to host post-match interactions, providing a modern and comfortable setting for media coverage”, he added.
We are making all efforts to ensure seamless traffic control and route management, these will be handled by a dedicated team of police officers, ensuring smooth flow of traffic and enhanced security for everyone attending. We are also deploying security personnel across parking areas to ensure safety and assist in route guidance for spectators navigating towards the stadium.
Pisal added, “MCA has taken note of feedback from the last India vs New Zealand Test match and has implemented solutions to prevent delays in water dispensing. Drinking water will be readily available throughout the venue, with no anticipated lapses. Also as this is an evening match, excessive heat is not expected; however all efforts are being made to provide free drinking water to ensure spectator comfort.
