200 Players to Compete in One-Day Rapid Chess Tournament in Pune on February 23
Pune, 22 February 2025: A total of 200 players from the district have registered their participation in the second Kumar Pacific Mall and Kunte Chess Academy sponsored One Day Rapid Chess Tournament of various age groups organized in association with Kunte Chess Academy and Kumar Pacific Mall. The tournament will be held at Kumar Pacific Mall, Ground Floor, Seven Loves Chowk, Pune on Sunday, 23 February 2025.
Tournament director Mrinalini Kunte said that this tournament is being held under the auspices of Pune District Chess Circle. Also, this tournament will be played in seven rounds in Swiss league format.Â
200 players have registered their participation in the competition. The competition will be held in four groups, including Varad Mulye (1505), Vivan Chitnis (1530), Ekansh Sharma (1503), Yug Bardiya (1665), Marmik Shah (1567), Amey Chaudhary (1700). The competition will be held in Group A (Under 9 years), Group B (Under 11 years), Group C (Under 13 years) and Group D (Under 15 years). A total of Rs. 32,000/- will be awarded in the competition. Nitin Shenvi will be the Chief Arbiter and Shraddha Vinchwekar will be the Deputy Chief Arbiter for the competition.
