Vegetable Prices Drop In Pune: Flower, Cabbage, Peas And Raw Mango Rates Decline

Increased Supply To Pune Market Leads To Price Drop For Garlic, Cauliflower, Cabbage, And Drumsticks
Pune: Due to reduced demand, the prices of onions, cabbage, peas, cauliflower, and Totapuri (raw) mango have dropped by 10-15%, while other vegetable prices remain stable, according to traders.
On Sunday, the wholesale market at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard received around 100 truckloads of vegetables from across the state and other regions. Karnataka, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh supplied 14-15 tempos of green chilies, 5-6 tempos of cabbage, and 4-5 tempos each of cluster beans and broad beans. Additionally, Rajasthan sent 10 tempos of carrots, while Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh contributed 17-18 tempos of garlic.
In the leafy vegetable section, prices of fenugreek, dill, spring onions, and amaranth have declined, while coriander, mint, radish, and sorrel leaf rates remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, summer fruits like watermelon and muskmelon have seen a price drop due to increased supply, while prices of lemons, pineapples, oranges, sweet lime, pomegranates, and sapota remain stable.
