Horrific Bus Accident Near Latur: 36 Injured as Bus Overturns While Avoiding Motorcycle – Watch CCTV Video

Latur: A horrific accident occurred on Monday afternoon around 2 PM on the Latur-Nanded state highway when a bus overturned while trying to avoid a motorcycle. The incident took place near Nandgaon Pati as the bus was en route from Nanded to Latur.

The accident was severe, leaving 36 out of 48 passengers critically injured. Among them, six are in critical condition. Upon receiving information, police and medical teams promptly arrived at the scene, and the injured were rushed to the Vilasrao Deshmukh Government Medical College in Latur. Reports indicate that three to four passengers sustained severe injuries, including amputations of arms from the shoulder or elbow.

Eyewitnesses described the harrowing scene, stating that the bus, which had departed from Chakur, lost control near Nandgaon Pati while trying to avoid a suddenly appearing motorcycle. The driver swerved into the opposite lane, crashing into the road divider, causing the bus to overturn and skid nearly 50 feet.

Medical authorities, including Dr. Uday Mohite, confirmed that four of the critically injured passengers remain in grave condition. Six to seven passengers suffered severe injuries, including limb amputations.

Authorities on High Alert

Following the accident, the district administration swung into action. Latur District Collector Varsha Thakur Ghuge instructed police and medical teams to ensure immediate treatment for the injured. Special teams of doctors and emergency personnel were deployed at the hospital to provide urgent medical care.
