In a relief for commuters, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has confirmed that toll charges on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway will remain unchanged until April 30, 2030.

While toll rates on highways under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) have recently increased, the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, managed by MSRDC, follows a separate toll structure established on April 1, 2005. According to MSRDC officials, the last toll hike for this expressway was implemented on April 1, 2023, and no further revisions will take place for the next seven years.

The decision benefits thousands of daily commuters, transporters, and tourists using this crucial route connecting Pune and Mumbai. As one of Maharashtra’s busiest expressways, the assurance of stable toll rates provides financial relief to regular travelers.

MSRDC clarified that the toll rates will remain fixed as per the long-term agreement set in 2005. Commuters have welcomed the announcement, highlighting its positive impact on travel costs. The move is expected to support economic activity by ensuring smooth and affordable connectivity between the two major cities.
