Pune, Maharashtra: The Maharashtra government is working on a new infrastructure plan to improve connectivity to the upcoming Purandar International Airport. A proposed greenfield connector from the under-construction Pune Outer Ring Road (ORR) is expected to reduce travel time to just 12-13 minutes, addressing concerns about the airport’s distant location.

The Pune Outer Ring Road, which is currently under construction, is set to enhance overall connectivity in the region. Once completed, the direct link between the ORR and Purandar Airport will make access much more convenient.

In a related development, the Maharashtra government has designated the airport site as an ‘Industrial Zone’, allowing the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to begin land acquisition for the project.
