Pune, April 8, 2025:  The road from Baneshwar Phata to the Forest Department archway, leading to the revered Shri Kshetra Baneshwar temple in Bhor taluka, is in a state of severe disrepair, causing distress to devotees and locals alike. Despite continuous follow-ups for concrete resurfacing, the concerned citizen leading this effort has been met with repeated delays and empty assurances from both the government and administrative authorities.

Frustrated by the persistent apathy, a warning of hunger strike was issued on March 4. However, a day prior, on March 3, the Commissioner of PMRDA contacted the protestor and assured that road repairs would begin within a week. Trusting this commitment, the protest was temporarily called off. Yet, the promised deadline has long passed, and no progress has been made on the ground.

The matter was also brought to the attention of the Chief Minister, emphasizing the road’s critical importance for religious pilgrims. The current state of the road continues to pose hardships for devotees and residents alike, but there appears to be no urgency from the authorities.
