The advisory follows new directives from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), which has implemented stricter checks across all Indian airports. “Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to departure to ensure smooth check-in and boarding. Check-in will close 75 minutes before the flight time,” Air India stated.

Key points from the advisory include:

Balwadkar
  • Mandatory early arrival: Reach the airport 3 hours before departure.
  • ID verification: Carry valid government-approved photo ID for airport entry.
  • Baggage limit: Only one hand baggage up to 7 kg is allowed in addition to check-in luggage.
