Pune Traffic Alert: Tarkeshwar Bridge In Yerwada Closed For Repairs from May 9 to 11
The bridge joining Bund Garden to Yerwada has reported a major crack due to which the traffic police department had issued an order diverting the vehicles. The local residents for the past few days faced severe threats while crossing the road and sought PMC’s attention to repair it.
Citizens of Pune are hereby informed that one of the expansion joints of the Tarkeshwar Bridge in Yerwada (connecting Yerwada to Koregaon Park) has been damaged. Due to this, the Pune Municipal Corporation has undertaken repair work at the location, including concrete filling.
The concrete will require three days to set properly, and hence, the Tarkeshwar Bridge will remain closed from May 9 to May 11, 2025.
Citizens are requested not to use the Tarkeshwar Bridge during this period and instead use alternate routes to reach their destinations. The information was issued by Subhash Nikam, Assistant Police Commissioner, Division-1, Traffic Department, Pune City.
