Pune: A disturbing incident at a popular restaurant in Pashan has triggered outrage after Youth Congress leader Pratiksha Bazare shared a video detailing her experience. The incident reportedly occurred at FML’s Pashan outlet during a family outing.

According to Bazare, while dining with family members on Monday night, the group was served the wrong food. When they attempted to lodge a complaint, a waiter allegedly made inappropriate and humiliating gestures toward the women in the group. “The treatment we received was not just disrespectful, but shameful,” she said.

Bazare further stated that upon confronting the hotel management, they acknowledged the mistake but failed to take any corrective action. Instead, they were asked to pay only 50% of the bill and leave. “Despite admitting fault, no disciplinary action was taken against the staff involved,” she said in her post.

Expressing her concern as a woman representative, Bazare said she felt it was her duty to raise her voice for the safety and dignity of women. “If such incidents can occur in upscale and seemingly safe establishments, are women truly secure anywhere?” she questioned.

The video has since gone viral, garnering attention across social media platforms and sparking conversations around women’s safety in public spaces, especially in Pune’s high-end hospitality sector.

No official response has yet been issued by FML Pashan.

Authorities are being urged to look into the matter and ensure stricter action is taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
