Pune Zilla Parishad School Wins Community Choice Award At Global World's Best Schools Recognition

Pune, June 12: The revolutionary ‘Pune Model School’ initiative by the Pune Zilla Parishad will be officially launched on June 14, 2025, by Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar. The event will also be attended by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Jaykumar Gore and School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse.

The primary goal of the initiative is the holistic development of Zilla Parishad-run primary schools. From the academic year 2025-26, this program will be implemented in 303 schools across 303 centres in Pune district.

This initiative aims to transform both the physical infrastructure and educational quality of these primary schools. It will enhance the effective use of technology in education and bring in high-quality facilities through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support.

Students will be exposed to modern technology through STEM labs, computer labs, and coding education. Additionally, they will be taught foreign languages like German and French, helping to broaden their global knowledge and skills.

The Pune Model School project promises to offer free and high-quality education, ensuring equal opportunities for all students. It is a significant step toward securing a brighter future for students, said Gajanan Patil, Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad.
