Kondhwa Police Arrest Notorious Burglar Involved In Over 150 House Break-ins Across Pune
Pune, June 18, 2025:
In a major breakthrough, Kondhwa Police have arrested a hardened criminal responsible for over 150 house break-in cases across Pune city and surrounding areas. The accused, Arjunsingh Rajputsingh Dudhane (47), a resident of Manjri Gaon, was arrested in connection with a burglary reported at Kondhwa Police Station.
The theft occurred between June 3 and 4, when the complainant had locked their house and traveled to their native place. During this period, an unidentified person broke the iron and wooden locks using tools, entered the house, and stole gold ornaments, cash, and the society office’s CCTV DVR. A total of 21 tolas (approximately 245 grams) of gold were stolen.
Recognizing the seriousness of the case, two special teams were immediately formed. Over five days, more than 100 CCTV camera feeds were reviewed. Based on a tip-off received on June 10, the investigation team learned that the suspect, Dudhane, would be near his residence in Manjri Gaon. A trap was laid, and the accused was successfully apprehended.
Police seized from the accused:
- 40 gm gold mangalsutra
- 20 gm gold chain
- Honda Splendor motorcycle used in the crime
Total value of recovered items: ₹3,40,000.
Dudhane is a repeat offender with more than 150 burglary cases registered against him. The operation was conducted under the guidance of DCP Rajkumar Shinde (Zone 5) and ACP Dhanyakumar Godse (Wanwadi Division). The investigating team included Senior PI Vinay Patankar, PI Navnath Jagtap, and several officers and constables from Kondhwa Police Station.
