From Deserts To Coastlines: Southern Command Marks Yoga Day
The 11th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by all ranks, veterans, families, and children under the Southern Command.
The celebrations took place at various military stations through the expanse of the scorching deserts of the Western borders to the lush landscapes of the Rann and the coastlines of peninsular India.
Events ranged across diverse geographies, including remote border posts and iconic heritage areas, seamlessly blending yoga with India’s timeless traditions, wellness values, and the spirit of unity.
These celebrations reinforced the Army’s commitment to holistic well-being and showcased yoga as a unifying force across operational and cultural landscapes. Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, Army Commander participated in an enriching and vibrant yoga session at Pune with a large attendance promoting wellness, physical fitness and inner strength.
