Pune: MSEDCL Rasta Peth Office Launches Hirkani Room To Support Lactating Mothers
Pune, July 2, 2025 – A special facility named ‘Hirakani Room’ has been inaugurated at the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) circle office in Rasta Peth, Pune. The space is dedicated to supporting lactating women employees as well as visiting mothers.
The room was inaugurated on June 30 by MSEDCL’s Chief Engineer Sunil Kakade.
Given that the Rasta Peth premises include the circle office and several other departments, a significant number of women employees and female visitors frequent the area.
Recognizing the needs and challenges faced by mothers, MSEDCL has introduced the Hirkani Room with all necessary amenities for comfort and care.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Engineer Sunil Kakade, Superintendent Engineer of Rasta Peth Dnyanadev Padalkar, Sanjeev Nehte (Civil), Executive Engineers Nitin Thite and Praveen Panchmukh (Civil), Additional Executive Engineer Ajay Sul, along with a large number of women employees.
