Mumbai, July 3, 2025: Maharashtra is set to receive a major boost in industrial growth as the state government has approved ₹1,35,371.58 crore worth of investment proposals focused on thrust sectors and high-end technologies. The approval was granted during the 12th meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee held at the Vidhan Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Out of 19 proposals presented in the meeting, 17 major and ultra-mega projects received special incentives. These projects are expected to generate approximately 1 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state.

CM Fadnavis stated that the approved investments are aimed at driving technological innovation, research, and development within the state. The sectors include semiconductors, electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, textiles, green steel, aerospace, and defense equipment.

The government has also announced several incentives for these industries, including capital subsidies, electricity tariff concessions, interest subvention, industrial promotion subsidies, ownership fund reimbursements, and provident fund returns. In addition, the number of thrust sector projects has been increased from 22 to 30.

The government approved land acquisition and allocation in Dapchari and Vankas of Palghar district for Reliance Industries Limited’s proposed project. A special incentive package has also been approved for coal gasification and downstream derivatives by including them in the government resolution.

Vardhan Agro Processing Ltd. (Satara)

Avatade Spinners Pvt. Ltd. (Solapur)

The decision is expected to boost micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), strengthen the local supply chain, and create new opportunities in skill development, thereby accelerating Maharashtra’s industrial and economic growth.

Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Chief Secretary, and other senior officials were present during the meeting.
