Weather Alert: Heavy Rain to Lash Maharashtra in Next 24 Hours, IMD Issues Yellow Alert for 23 Districts On September 12

The Meteorological Department has forecast continued rainfall in several parts of Maharashtra, with Konkan witnessing persistent showers. A Yellow Alert has been issued for Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts for the next few hours, while Pune and Satara ghat regions are under an Orange Alert.

On August 22, Mumbai city and suburbs are expected to experience cloudy skies with moderate rain. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 30°C, while the minimum may remain near 24°C. Raigad and Ratnagiri will also remain under a Yellow Alert for the day.

Pune’s ghat regions have been issued a Yellow Alert, with the city forecast predicting cloudy conditions and light rain. Temperatures may range from 28°C (maximum) to 22°C (minimum).

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, cloudy weather with light showers is expected, with temperatures likely between 29°C and 22°C. Nashik may witness light to moderate rainfall in isolated areas, with temperatures around 28°C to 22°C.

Nagpur is predicted to have cloudy skies and light showers on August 22, with a maximum temperature of 30°C and minimum of 23°C. However, on August 24, heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in the region.

Weather experts indicate that while rainfall intensity may reduce in parts of the state, the Konkan belt and some interior regions will continue to experience wet conditions in the coming days.
