As part of Pune Metroās Phase 1 (Vanaz to Ramwadi), two bridges were planned to link Deccan Gymkhana and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Udyan to the Peth area.
The completed bridge, spanning 179.791 meters in length and 8 meters in width, features advanced ācable-stayedā technology with Indiaās first 70-degree inclined concrete pylon supported by 20 high-tension cables.
Only two pillars were built in the riverbed to avoid obstructing water flow.
