Dubai Police Send Lost Phone to Chennai, Internet Calls UAE the Safest Country
Travelling to another country can be full of excitement, but losing a mobile phone in the middle of an international journey is the kind of hassle no one wants to deal with. For Tamil Nadu-based YouTuber Madan Gowri, however, an unexpected situation at Dubai International Airport turned into a surprising experience that left not only him but also millions of followers impressed. While returning to Chennai, he realised that his phone had gone missing during his time at the airport.
Unsure of what to expect, he approached the airport authorities and reported the issue. Instead of a long, complicated process, the staff simply asked him to send an email with a few key details about the phone — including its model and colour. Once he provided all the necessary information, the authorities confirmed that the phone had been found.
What happened next amazed him. Within a day, the Dubai Police, along with Emirates Airlines, arranged for the phone to be shipped from Dubai to Chennai — completely free of cost. The device was handed over to him the very next day, safely delivered through the next available Emirates flight. He shared the entire experience in an Instagram video posted on September 2, 2025, and the story quickly gained massive attention. The video went viral, crossing 2.7 million views and receiving over two lakh likes. Social media users flooded the comments with praise for the swift and honest response from Dubai’s authorities, with many calling the UAE “the safest country in the world.”
One user commented that it’s “100% the safest country in the world,” while another said, “Dubai police are always the best in the world.” A third person pointed out that such actions are standard operating procedures across many international airlines, not just Emirates.
Still, the overall response highlighted the impressive level of efficiency and trust that people associate with Dubai. Users appreciated how smoothly the process was handled and how seriously the authorities took the matter, even though it involved a single lost phone.
Several people mentioned that this kind of experience is exactly why Dubai is known for its safety, law enforcement, and top-tier public systems. Comments emphasized how strict laws, honest systems, and professional authorities contribute to making the city not just safe, but also incredibly reliable. One user summed it up by saying that in Dubai, “if you lose it, the Dubai Police will bring it back.” Gowri himself expressed deep gratitude towards Dubai Police and Emirates Airlines for their swift action and excellent service.
