Pune, September 20, 2025: Wanowrie residents are raising strong concerns over deteriorating road conditions after yet another accident near Ganga Satellite left a woman severely injured. The victim, a resident of Clover Village Society, fell from her two-wheeler due to the uneven and poorly maintained road surface. She sustained deep wounds and has been advised complete bed rest for the next two months.

Speaking from her residence, the injured woman expressed her frustration and revealed that she plans to file a formal complaint against the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and its contractors. “This is negligence that has caused me immense suffering. The authorities must be held accountable,” she said.

Local social activist groups have also criticized the PMC, stating that poor road work and lack of safety measures have been endangering lives for months. “It is highly irresponsible of both the civic body and the contractor to leave roads in such a hazardous state. At least four bikers have already met with accidents at the same spot, sustaining serious injuries,” said a social activist.

Residents argue that despite repeated complaints, no corrective action has been taken. They demand urgent repairs and stricter accountability from civic authorities to prevent further mishaps. With multiple lives already affected, citizens fear more accidents unless immediate intervention is carried out.
