Pune, October 14, 2025The draft framework for the Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Aggregators Rules, 2025, which governs app-based transport services including bike taxis, has been released for public consultation. Citizens have been invited to share their feedback, objections, and suggestions regarding the proposed policy before the final rules are notified.

The state government aims to create a regulatory structure for app-based vehicles, including bike taxis, under these proposed guidelines. The policy focuses on ensuring passenger safety, fair pricing, vehicle fitness, and driver accountability, while also promoting efficient and environment-friendly urban mobility solutions.

According to the official announcement, individuals and organizations can submit their written objections or suggestions regarding the Maharashtra Bike Taxi Rules, 2025 to the Office of the Transport Commissioner, Mumbai. The last date for submission is October 17, 2025.
