Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced Ahead Of Political Rally On Ganeshkhind Road Today
Pune, October 27, 2025: The Pune City Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for Monday, October 27, 2025, between 12 noon and 3 pm, due to a political rally scheduled to pass through the busy Ganeshkhind Road stretch. The procession will move from Mhasoba Gate, Shivajinagar, towards Kakade Mall and Chatushrungi, which is expected to cause significant traffic congestion in the area.
Authorities have urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly and use alternative routes to avoid delays. Heavy vehicular movement and temporary diversions are likely during the rally hours.
For commuters travelling from Aundh towards Shivajinagar, police have suggested turning left at Bremen Chowk and proceeding via Khadki. Similarly, those coming from Baner can take a left turn from Pune University Chowk, use the new bridge, and proceed towards Shivajinagar. An alternate option is to head from University Chowk to Bremen Chowk, then turn right via Khadki.
Motorists travelling from Range Hills can take a U-turn at Simphony Circle and continue through the Khadki underpass towards Shivajinagar. Those coming from Shivajinagar towards University Chowk can use the Model Colony route or the Thorat Chowk–Deep Bungalow–SB Road route.
The Pune Traffic Police have appealed to citizens to cooperate by using the suggested diversions and follow real-time updates and directions issued by on-duty police personnel during the procession period.
