MSEDCL Releases Waiting List for Electrical Assistant Posts; Document Verification on November 6 and 7

Mumbai, November 1, 2025: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has released a waiting list of 1,847 candidates for the post of Electrical Assistant, within the prescribed 50% limit, on its official website [www.mahadiscom.in](http://www.mahadiscom.in). The document verification process for these candidates will be conducted on November 6 and 7 at their respective circle offices.
Earlier, under Advertisement No. 06/2023, MSEDCL had conducted an online aptitude test between May 20 and 22 for 5,381 Electrical Assistant vacancies. Following this, the merit list and circle-wise allocations were announced. Verification of documents and eligibility for shortlisted candidates took place from August 20 to 22 and September 9 to 10 across five days.
After considering ineligible, absent, and other category-wise reservation-related cases, MSEDCL prepared the waiting list up to 50% of the advertised posts, which was officially released on October 31. However, as per the order issued by the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities on September 10, 2025, the selection process for the disabled category has been kept on hold; hence, this category has been excluded from the waiting list.
The shortlisted candidates must attend the document verification process in person on November 6 and 7 at their assigned circle offices. The verification will begin at 10 a.m. each day. In case the process cannot be completed on the first day, it will continue on the next day. Candidates must bring all original documents and certificates for verification.
MSEDCL has clarified that candidates who fail to appear for document verification will be deemed disqualified, and no further communication will be entertained. The final appointment process will proceed for those found eligible after the verification.
