Pune, November 1, 2025: In preparation for the upcoming city cycling competition Pune Grand Tour 2026, senior officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Police carried out an inspection of the event route to ensure smooth execution and international-standard arrangements.

The inspection was led by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Special) Omprakash Divate, Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner Himmatrao Jadhav, and Chief Engineer (Road Department) Aniruddha Pawaskar, accompanied by several civic and police officers.

During the review, officials directed ward officers to immediately remove encroachments along the route with police assistance. They also instructed the trimming of overhanging tree branches and the removal of unauthorized overhead cables at least 7 to 10 days before the event.

Plans were also discussed to beautify select areas along the route with support from CSR initiatives. Officials expressed satisfaction with the ongoing work and stressed the importance of maintaining quality and safety standards.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Omprakash Divate urged departments to complete all pending works on time and ensure the route is ready as per international benchmarks for the upcoming cycling event.
