Pune: PCMC Imposes Rs 1.6 Lakh Fines In F-Ward For Public Cleanliness Violations
Pimpri, November 22, 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched a strict punitive campaign against individuals and businesses violating public cleanliness norms. Under this drive, the F-Sector office collected a total of Rs 1,60,700 in fines between November 1 and November 17, 2025.
The campaign was conducted under the guidance of PCMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Pradeep Thengal, and Health Executive Officer & Joint Commissioner Amit Pandit, with supervision by F-Sector Officer Atul Patil.
PCMC has been continuously striving to make the city cleaner, more beautiful, and healthier. To raise awareness among citizens about waste segregation, regional offices are running extensive public outreach initiatives. In a meeting with F-Sector officials and staff, Atul Patil directed strict action against violations of cleanliness rules.
Fines were imposed for open dumping of waste, use of plastic, failure to segregate waste, shopkeepers not maintaining two dustbins, and littering in public areas.
Key officials actively involved in the campaign included Deputy Health Officer Mahesh Adhav, Chief Health Inspector Kanchankumar Indalkar, Health Inspectors Gaurav Darade, Mahendra Sable, Samadhan Katad, and Ramchandra Shingade.
Breakdown of Fines by Violation (F-Sector, November 1–17, 2025):
- Use of banned plastic – Rs 85,000
- Failure to segregate waste – Rs 12,700
- Open dumping of garbage – Rs 34,000
- Shops not maintaining two dustbins – Rs 26,000
- Littering in public places – Rs 3,000
