Pimpri-Chinchwad to Face Major Power Outage Today: Full List of Affected Areas
Pimpri-Chinchwad, December 11, 2025: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has announced a planned power shutdown across multiple parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad on Thursday, December 11. The outage, scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm, is being carried out to facilitate essential repair and maintenance work on three 22 kV feeders.
MSEDCL officials stated that Thursday is the routine maintenance day for Pune region, and power interruptions are common during such operations. “To complete urgent maintenance tasks under the Pimpri Divisional Office, electricity supply will remain suspended in several pockets of Pimpri, Chinchwad, and Bhosari,” an official said.
Areas to Be Affected:
1) 22 kV Vikas Nagar Feeder
Power will be unavailable in locations around Dr DY Patil College (Akurdi), Dharmaraj Chowk, Navshantiniketan Housing Society, Chaitanya Park Housing Society, Arihant Housing Society, Krushna Homes Housing Society, ISKCON Temple (Ravet), Nandagiri Housing Society, Ganesh Nagar, Mhaske Wasti, Vikas Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Datta Nagar, Dehu Road, and neighbouring areas.
2) 22 kV Atul Enterprises Feeder
The outage will impact Alcove Housing Society, Sai Pearl Housing Society, Lakshyadeep Housing Society, Rajdeep Palace Housing Society, Rose Icon Housing Society, Eclectica Home Housing Society, Yashada Avenue Housing Society, Sai Platinum Housing Society, Jarvari Housing Society, Vivanta Life Vedika Housing Society, Vantage Twenty One Housing Society, and most parts of Pimple Saudagar.
3) 22 kV Mahindra Feeder
Areas including Sukh Nagari, Yashbindu Apartment, Giriraj Vihar, Raghu Mauli Garden, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Garden, Ashwini Hospital, Giriraj Ganesh Mandir, and surrounding residential pockets will also be affected.
Officials added that supply interruptions may additionally occur in Bhosari, Pimple Gurav, Vallabhnagar, and nearby zones depending on maintenance requirements throughout the day.
Residents have been advised to plan accordingly and keep backup arrangements ready during the scheduled six-hour outage.
