Maharashtra | December 15: The cold wave affecting parts of northern India has eased, bringing noticeable changes to Maharashtra’s weather, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). While the intense chill of recent days has reduced, the state will continue to experience cool mornings and nights, with largely dry and clear conditions expected over the next 24 hours.

IMD stated that winter conditions have firmly set in across Maharashtra. On December 15, most regions are likely to witness dry and stable weather. As cold northerly winds weaken, the severity of the chill will reduce slightly, though a distinct nip in the air will persist during early mornings and late nights. Excluding the Konkan region, minimum temperatures across the state are expected to range between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius, while maximum temperatures may hover between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius.

Konkan and Mumbai Weather Update:
Mumbai and the Konkan belt are expected to remain largely clear and sunny on December 15. Mumbai’s minimum temperature is likely to be around 22 degrees Celsius, with the maximum touching 33 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels will remain between 60 and 70 percent, accompanied by dry winds. Similar conditions are expected in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Thane, and Palghar, where temperatures may range from 20 to 33 degrees Celsius. Light coastal winds and good visibility are also forecast.

Western Maharashtra Forecast:
Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, and Sangli will continue to experience dry and cool weather. Pune is likely to record a minimum temperature of around 12 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. Morning chill will be noticeable, while skies are expected to remain clear throughout the day. Kolhapur and Sangli may see temperatures between 15 and 31 degrees Celsius. Fog conditions will reduce, though nighttime cold will intensify.

North Maharashtra Conditions:
Nashik, Dhule, and Jalgaon are expected to witness clear skies and chilly mornings. Nashik’s minimum temperature may range between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, with maximum temperatures around 28 to 29 degrees Celsius. Cold conditions will persist in North Maharashtra, but dry weather is expected to remain favourable for agricultural activities. Fog chances are minimal.

Marathwada Weather Outlook:
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, and Parbhani will experience clear skies and dry conditions. Temperatures in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar are likely to range between 12 and 31 degrees Celsius. While mornings will remain cold across Marathwada, daytime conditions are expected to be relatively warm.

Vidarbha Weather Report:
Nagpur, along with Akola, Amravati, and Wardha, will continue to witness dry and cool weather. Nagpur’s minimum temperature is expected to be around 15 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 29 degrees Celsius. Morning fog may occur in some areas, followed by clear skies during the day. Although the cold wave intensity will reduce in parts of Vidarbha, nighttime chill will persist.

According to IMD, there is no cold wave warning for Maharashtra on December 15. However, cool conditions will continue across the state over the next few days. Citizens are advised to take basic health precautions, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
