Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) carried out action against an unauthorised construction in the Kondhwa Khurd area on December 16, 2025. The operation was conducted by a special squad appointed to tackle illegal constructions.
The action was taken at Shivneri Nagar, Galli No. 19, where unauthorised RCC construction spread over approximately 3,000 square feet had been carried out on a G+5-storey building. The civic body undertook demolition and enforcement measures at the site to curb the illegal structure.
For the operation, the PMC deployed a substantial team, including six labourers, five police personnel, one JCB machine, four breakers, two gas cutters, five junior engineers and two deputy engineers.
Following the action, the civic body stated that the building has become structurally unsafe and poses potential risks. The PMC has therefore appealed to citizens not to use the building and strongly advised against purchasing any flats in the said structure.
The municipal corporation reiterated that strict action will continue against unauthorised constructions to ensure public safety and compliance with building regulations.
