Pune: 29 PMRDA Services Now Available Online
Pune, January 21, 2026: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has introduced advanced digital technologies to make civic services more accessible, transparent, and efficient. As part of this initiative, 29 key services have been made fully online, eliminating the need for citizens to visit offices in person.
To ensure more accurate and scientific urban planning, PMRDA has launched a comprehensive GIS (Geographic Information System) portal. Using satellite imagery and advanced GIS technology, the portal integrates data related to development plans, flood lines, current land status, and information from various departments. This integration has significantly improved the speed, accuracy, and objectivity of decision-making.
In addition, PMRDA has successfully implemented blockchain technology within its administrative processes. The use of blockchain ensures that data remains secure, tamper-proof, and easily verifiable, thereby enhancing transparency and public trust.
Under the guidance of Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Yogesh Mhase, PMRDA has effectively leveraged digital tools to build a citizen-centric administration that is transparent and time-bound. These initiatives have helped save citizens’ time and expenses while reducing unnecessary visits to government offices.
TDR Blockchain System:
PMRDA has operationalised a blockchain-based system to securely maintain Transferable Development Rights (TDR) records. The system helps prevent forged documents and fraud, with all records stored in a transparent, immutable, and secure format.

Amenity Plot Development Blockchain:
Blockchain technology is also being used in the creation, sale, and development of amenity plots. Citizens can transparently access complete information related to actual land ownership, final development of public amenities, and auctioned plots. Easy verification of information without the need for RTI applications has further strengthened public confidence in the administration.

GIS Portal:
Developed to ensure precise and effective metropolitan planning, the GIS portal is based on advanced GIS tools and satellite imagery. It provides easy access to information on land parcels, public amenities, natural disaster risks, and ongoing development projects.

PMRDA RTS Portal:
Several important services related to land and property, fire department clearances, and development permissions—including zoning certificates, area maps, and building permits—are now available online through the RTS portal. Reduced human intervention has made service delivery faster and more transparent.

Through the planned and effective use of digital technology, PMRDA has significantly reduced the gap between the administration and citizens. The successful implementation of the “services from home” concept has received positive feedback from residents across the metropolitan region.
