PCMC General Body Elects Standing Committee and Subject Committee Members

The General Body meeting of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation was held on Friday, during which members were elected to the Standing Committee and various subject committees, including the Law Committee, City Improvement Committee, Education Committee, Women and Child Welfare Committee, and the Sports, Arts, Literature and Culture Committee.

Mayor Ravi Landge, who presided over the meeting, congratulated all the newly elected members and extended his best wishes. The elections were conducted in accordance with party strength in the General Body.

On behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party, party leader Prashant Shitole submitted the names of nominees in sealed envelopes. Similarly, group leaders Bhausaheb Bhoir of the Nationalist Congress Party and Vishwajit Barne of the Shiv Sena submitted their respective party nominations to the presiding officer. The names of the members were then officially घोषित and approved committee-wise by Mayor Ravi Landge.

Addressing the house, the Mayor expressed confidence that the newly elected members would play a crucial role in the city’s developmental, social, and administrative functioning, and contribute positively to the overall growth of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
