Pune: PMC’s Scheduled Water Supply Shutdown Postponed Amid Tanker Strike
Will Pune Pay The Price While Tanker Operators Profit ? Water Cut Decision Under Scrutiny
Pune, April 15: The Pune Municipal Corporation has announced that the planned water supply shutdown scheduled for Thursday, April 16, has been postponed due to the ongoing tanker strike and certain technical reasons.
Officials stated that the decision was taken to avoid further disruption in water availability across the city, especially in view of the recent dependence on tanker supply in several areas.
The civic body has assured residents that regular water supply will continue as usual until a new date for the shutdown is finalised. The revised schedule for the water supply closure will be communicated shortly.
Authorities have urged citizens not to panic and confirmed that efforts are being made to ensure uninterrupted water distribution during this period.
