A nine-foot-long python was found perched on a tree at a GW company premises in Choli Khurd near Alandi, triggering concern among employees.

The reptile was first noticed by the company’s HR representative, Nitin Kasbe, who immediately alerted the Forest Department and local snake rescuers. Acting swiftly, Forest Department official Bhausaheb Indalkar and wildlife rescuer Akash Suryawanshi reached the spot.

The team carefully brought the python down from the tree, ensuring both public safety and the well-being of the reptile. The rescue operation was carried out smoothly without any harm to the animal.

Officials confirmed that the python was healthy and unharmed. Following standard protocols and under the guidance of the Forest Department, it was later released into a natural habitat near Rotya Lake in the Chakan Ghat area.

Speaking after the rescue, Akash Suryawanshi urged citizens not to harm or attempt to capture snakes if spotted. He advised people to immediately contact the Forest Department or trained snake rescuers in such situations.
