Pune: Tata Play Fiber Outage Hits Multiple Areas, Users Slam Service Disruption
Pune, April 24, 2026:
A major internet outage affecting Tata Play Fiber has disrupted connectivity across several parts of Pune, including Bavdhan, Baner, Balewadi, Hinjewadi, Nanded City and nearby localities. The disruption, which began late at night, has left thousands of users without internet, triggering widespread complaints on social media platform X.
Frustrated customers took to X to vent their anger over the prolonged outage and poor customer support. Many users reported that along with the internet, the company’s app and website were also down, making it difficult to register complaints or seek assistance.
A user from Mahalunge said the WiFi service had been down for hours, adding that both the app and customer care lines were inaccessible. He claimed repeated calls only resulted in busy tones, raising concerns over service reliability.
Another user pointed out that the issue had continued since morning, with the app failing to load and repeatedly prompting for login. Attempts to contact customer support were unsuccessful as the helpline remained busy.
Similar complaints emerged from Wakad and surrounding areas, where users described a complete outage and lack of response from the company. Several also noted that the official website was not functioning, worsening the situation.
Some users claimed the disruption had lasted for several hours, with reports of no connectivity since midnight. The absence of timely updates and support has added to the growing frustration among customers.
Tata Play acknowledged the issue on X, stating that services would be restored within a couple of hours. However, many users said the outage continued despite the assurance.
