Pune: PMPML Bus Brake Failure Triggers Accident at Vanaz Chowk; CCTV Footage Surfaces
Pune: A serious accident occurred at Vanaz Chowk after a PMPML bus reportedly suffered a brake failure and rammed into a municipal garbage collection vehicle from behind.
The incident took place in front of Smita Exports India Private Limited. Due to the impact, a sanitation worker who was sitting on top of the garbage vehicle while collecting waste was thrown off and sustained serious injuries.
The injured worker was immediately rushed to Sahyadri Hospital, where he has been admitted and is currently undergoing treatment.
Preliminary information suggests that the accident was caused due to brake failure of the PMPML bus. The entire incident has been captured on CCTV, and further investigation is underway.
