Pimpri-Chinchwad's Water Supply To Remain Shut On April 28
Pimpri-Chinchwad, April 27, 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has announced that the evening water supply across the city will remain completely shut on Tuesday, April 28, due to scheduled maintenance work at the Nigdi water purification centre.
According to officials, essential civil and electrical repair works will be undertaken at the treatment facility, necessitating a temporary halt in water supply. As a result, all areas in Pimpri-Chinchwad will face a disruption in evening water supply on April 28.
The civic body has further informed that the water supply on the following day, Wednesday, April 29, will be irregular and at low pressure during the morning hours.
The maintenance work is part of routine efforts to ensure the smooth functioning of the city’s water supply system and to prevent any major disruptions in the future. Repairs and upgrades will also be carried out at Sector 23 and other local-level infrastructure points.
Authorities have urged residents to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the disruption period.
Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase stated that the civic administration will make every effort to complete the maintenance work within the stipulated time and restore normal water supply as soon as possible.
