The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results for 2026, with pass percentages crossing the 99% mark in both categories. The results were declared on April 30 at 11 am, bringing relief and celebration for lakhs of students across the country.
This year, the ICSE Class 10 exams recorded a pass percentage of 99.18%, while ISC Class 12 students achieved a 99.13% pass rate. Girls continued their strong academic performance, outperforming boys in both examinations. In Class 10, girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.46%, while boys recorded slightly lower results. Similarly, in Class 12, girls secured 99.48%, again leading the overall performance.

More than 4 lakh students appeared for the examinations this year. The ICSE exams were conducted from February 17 to March 30, while the ISC exams took place between February 12 and April 3.
Students can access their results through the official CISCE website, as well as via DigiLocker, SMS services, and the UMANG app. To check their scorecards online, candidates need to enter their UID, index number, and captcha on the result portal. The digital marksheets can also be downloaded for future use.
The board has maintained different minimum passing criteria for both levels. Students need at least 33% marks to pass the ICSE Class 10 examination, while ISC Class 12 candidates must secure a minimum of 35%. This reflects the higher academic standard expected at the senior secondary level.
CISCE has also outlined the post-result process to ensure transparency and flexibility for students. The rechecking window will remain open from May 1 to May 4, 2026. Those seeking further evaluation or improvement will have opportunities through re-evaluation and improvement exams scheduled in June and July.
The consistent high pass percentage this year highlights stable academic performance and effective examination processes. With multiple result access options and improvement opportunities, students are being given greater flexibility to manage their academic progress.
