The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the examination schedule for the September–November 2026 Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams, covering Foundation, Intermediate and Final courses. The announcement marks the beginning of the exam cycle for thousands of aspirants across India and select overseas centres.

As per the notification, the CA Foundation exams will commence from September 2, while the Final course examinations will begin from November 2, 2026. The institute has also clarified that the exam schedule will remain unchanged even if any date coincides with a public holiday.

Post-Qualification Exams for Members
ICAI has also announced dates for member-level examinations:
- International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT-AT): November 11 and 13, 2026
- Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination: November 6, 9, 11 and 13, 2026
Exam Timings and Duration
Most papers will begin at 2 pm (IST), with a 15-minute reading time from 1:45 pm to 2 pm for most subjects.
- Foundation Papers 1 & 2: 3 hours
- Foundation Papers 3 & 4: 2 hours
- Intermediate (all papers): 3 hours
- Final Papers 1–5: 3 hours
- Final Paper 6: 4 hours
No advance reading time will be provided for Foundation Papers 3 and 4, and all INTT-AT and IRM examination papers.
Application Process and Important Dates
Candidates can submit their application forms online via the ICAI Self Service Portal.
- Application window opens: July 6, 2026
- Last date without late fee: July 19, 2026
- Last date with late fee: July 22, 2026
- Correction window: July 23 to July 25, 2026
Examination Fees
Foundation Course (India): ₹1,500
Intermediate Course (India):
- Single Group: ₹1,500
- Both Groups: ₹2,700
Final Course (India):
- Single Group: ₹1,800
- Both Groups: ₹3,300
Post-Qualification Exams:
- INTT-AT: ₹2,000
- IRM Technical Examination: ₹2,000
Late fee of ₹600 applies for Indian and Kathmandu centres, while overseas candidates will be charged US $10.
Exam Centres and Medium
The exams will be conducted across multiple cities in India. In Maharashtra alone, centres include major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur and Nashik.
ICAI has also designated overseas centres in Dubai, Bahrain and Kathmandu for Foundation, Intermediate and Final courses.
Candidates can opt to write their exams in English or Hindi, while post-qualification exams will be conducted only in English.
