Grieving parent demands death penalty for accused, says family will not meet leaders until then

Pune, May 3, 2026: In a deeply emotional appeal following the shocking Nasrapur incident, the father of the four-year-old victim has requested that no political leaders visit his home until justice is delivered.

Pune Rural Police have arrested a 65-year-old man in connection with the alleged sexual assault and murder of the child. The incident took place on May 1 at a relative’s house in the Nasrapur area of Bhor taluka.

Since the tragedy, several politicians and ministers from different parties have been visiting the family’s residence in Dhayari to offer condolences. However, the victim’s father has firmly opposed these visits.

In a video message recorded while travelling to Dehu for the immersion of his daughter’s ashes, he shared the family’s pain and made a heartfelt request. He said that while he was informed about political leaders planning to visit, the family has only one demand—justice for their daughter.

He urged that no leaders should come to their home until the accused is given the strictest punishment. Calling the accused a “monster,” he said the family wants nothing less than the death penalty.

The father added that they would be willing to meet anyone only after justice is served and the accused is hanged. Until then, he appealed to all political leaders to respect their wishes and avoid visiting the family.
