According to initial reports, the Eicher tempo rammed into the motorcycle carrying the couple with significant force. The impact caused both riders to fall onto the road, after which the vehicle reportedly ran over them.
The woman died on the spot due to severe injuries, while her husband was rushed to a hospital in critical condition for emergency treatment. The entire incident was captured on nearby CCTV cameras, and the footage has since spread widely across social media, sparking public outrage.
Locals have highlighted that this stretch of road has witnessed multiple accidents in the past, raising renewed concerns over traffic safety and enforcement in the area. A case has been registered at Ambi MIDC Police Station, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
