Pune: Ramdara Shiv Temple To Remain Shut For One Month Amid Major Restoration Work
Pune, June 18, 2026: Devotees planning to visit the Ramdara Shiv Temple in Loni Kalbhor will have to postpone their visit, as the temple will remain closed from June 18 to July 18, 2026, due to ongoing repair and renovation activities.
The temple trust has announced that the temporary closure is necessary to facilitate essential restoration work and ensure the safety of visitors while the project is underway.
A significant portion of the renovation will focus on the temple’s sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha), making it necessary to restrict public access to the premises during the one-month period. All religious activities, including daily worship, special rituals, ceremonies, and festival-related events, will also remain suspended until the work is completed.

The renovation initiative is being carried out under the guidance of 1008 Mahant Hemant Puri Maharaj, President of the Tirthkshetra Ramdara Shivalaya Trust. Temple authorities have expressed confidence that the project will be completed within the scheduled timeframe.
The trust has appealed to devotees, followers, and visitors to avoid visiting the temple during the closure and to extend their cooperation while the restoration work is in progress. The management has also conveyed its apologies for the temporary inconvenience and thanked devotees for their understanding and support.
