Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Siya Goyal Claims She Did Not Want To Marry Ketan Because He Was Bald and Wore A Wig
Pune, June 26, 2026: Fresh details have emerged in the investigation into the alleged murder of 26-year-old realtor Ketan Agarwal, with police examining new statements made by prime accused Siya Goyal during interrogation.
According to police sources, Siya allegedly told investigators that she had decided against marrying Ketan after learning that he suffered from hair loss and reportedly wore a wig. However, there has been no official confirmation from the police or Ketan’s family regarding this claim, and it remains part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators allege that instead of informing her family that she wanted to end the engagement, Siya chose to continue with the marriage preparations while allegedly planning Ketan’s murder with co-accused Chetan Chaudhary.
Police claim that during questioning, Siya said she did not want to disappoint her family by calling off the wedding. Investigators further allege that she believed Ketan’s death during a trek at Lohagad Fort would be treated as an accident and would not attract suspicion. Police are also examining her reported statement that she assumed there would be no CCTV cameras at the location.
According to the investigation, Siya and Chetan allegedly developed a relationship before conspiring to eliminate Ketan. Both have been arrested and charged with murder and criminal conspiracy.
Meanwhile, the two accused continue to make conflicting statements. Police sources said Chetan has claimed that Siya pushed Ketan into the gorge, while Siya has alleged that Chetan was the one who delivered the final push. Investigators believe the blame game could be part of their legal defence strategy.
Police sources also said that none of Siya Goyal’s family members has visited her since her arrest. While such visits are common after an arrest, officials said no member of her immediate family has met her in custody so far. In contrast, Chetan Chaudhary’s father reportedly visited the police station to enquire about the progress of the investigation.
Ketan Agarwal allegedly died after being pushed into a gorge at Lohagad Fort on June 18. The incident was initially reported as an accidental fall during a trek, but subsequent investigation led police to register a case of murder.
Officials said the investigation is continuing, with police examining all available evidence and verifying the statements made by the accused.
