Pune, June 26, 2026: Students aspiring to participate in a NASA-affiliated training programme in the United States will have an opportunity to appear for a selection examination scheduled to be held in September 2026 in Maharashtra.

The selection test is being organised in India by the Swan Research and Social Study Foundation for students from Classes 6 to 12. Successful candidates will get a chance to attend a training programme at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, which collaborates with NASA on educational programmes.

Announcing the programme, Swan Research and Social Study Foundation founder-president Shashikant Kamble said the registration window will remain open from June 29 to August 31. Separate question papers will be prepared for each class, with the examination focusing primarily on Mathematics, Science, Geography, intelligence, and reasoning.

The examination is open to students studying in English and semi-English medium schools, as well as those enrolled in Zilla Parishad, municipal corporation, and municipal schools across Maharashtra. Organisers said the initiative aims to encourage students to explore space science, scientific research, and practical learning beyond the classroom. swanrsfoundation.com

The programme additionally includes educational visits to space-related attractions in New York, Washington, and Orlando, organisers said.
