Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Police Probe Alleged Secret Call Between Accused 34 Minutes Before Lohagad Incident
Pune, June 29, 2026: The investigation into the alleged murder of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal has taken a fresh turn after police reportedly uncovered evidence of a phone call between the two accused just 34 minutes before the incident at Lohagad Fort.
According to investigators, call detail records (CDRs) indicate that Siya Goyal allegedly contacted co-accused Chetan Chaudhary shortly before Agarwal was allegedly pushed into a gorge on June 18. Police suspect the call may have been used to communicate the duo’s location and coordinate the alleged execution of the murder plan. Officials are examining whether the conversation served as a final confirmation before the incident.

Deleted Chats Recovered During Investigation
Investigators have also alleged that after the phone call, the accused deleted nearly three months of WhatsApp conversations, Instagram chats and voice messages in an apparent attempt to destroy evidence. However, police said forensic experts have succeeded in recovering part of the deleted digital data and are continuing efforts to retrieve additional information.
Earlier Trip and Financial Transactions Under Scanner
The investigation has further revealed that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary allegedly travelled together to Udaipur shortly before Goyal’s engagement to Ketan Agarwal. Police are examining the nature of their relationship and its relevance to the ongoing investigation.
Officials are also probing allegations that Goyal obtained nearly ₹1 crore from Agarwal on the pretext of wedding preparations and subsequently transferred the money to Chaudhary. Investigators suspect the funds were intended to support Chaudhary’s business and future financial stability.
Investigation Continues
Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary have been arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy and murder. Police continue to examine digital evidence, financial transactions and witness statements to establish the sequence of events leading to Agarwal’s death. The allegations are part of the ongoing investigation and will be subject to judicial scrutiny during the trial.
