Pimpri, June 29, 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has appealed to property owners to pay their property tax by June 30, 2026, to avail the 10% rebate on the general tax under its online payment incentive scheme. The civic body has also announced that a special recovery drive against property tax defaulters will begin from July 1, 2026.

The Tax Assessment and Collection Department said June 30 is the final date to avail the rebate for the financial year 2026-27. Property owners who pay their taxes online by the deadline will receive a 10% concession on the general tax. The rebate scheme will not be available after June 30.

PCMC currently has more than 7.44 lakh property owners within its jurisdiction. So far, over 4.15 lakh property owners have paid more than â‚¹483 crore in property tax. Of these, nearly 3.46 lakh property owners made online payments and availed the 10% rebate. Deputy Commissioner of the Tax Collection Department, Sachin Pawar, said the scheme has received an encouraging response from citizens and urged the remaining property owners to clear their dues before the deadline.

The civic body further stated that from July 1, it will intensify its property tax recovery campaign. A special drive will be launched to recover outstanding dues, and attachment proceedings will be initiated against defaulters who fail to pay despite repeated appeals and seizure notices. Necessary instructions have already been issued to all ward offices, with particular focus on major defaulters.

Mayor Ravi Landge said the city’s overall development depends on the participation of every citizen. He noted that every rupee collected through property tax is invested in roads, water supply, healthcare, education, sanitation and other civic infrastructure, urging property owners to make use of the rebate before June 30.

PCMC Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi said timely collection of property tax is crucial for the corporation’s financial planning, as every rupee of revenue is utilised for public amenities and development works. He appealed to citizens to take advantage of the final opportunity to receive the 10% online payment rebate before the special recovery drive begins.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar reiterated that this is the last opportunity to avail the 10% rebate on property tax. He warned that from July 1, 2026, the corporation will launch a special recovery campaign, and defaulters who continue to ignore repeated notices will face action, including attachment of properties, in accordance with the law.
