The change in weather is being attributed to a low-pressure area developing over the Bay of Bengal, which has revived monsoon activity across Maharashtra. Over the past two to three days, Pune has witnessed intermittent rainfall after several dry days that had led to rising temperatures and uncomfortable humidity.

On Sunday, several parts of Pune city and the district experienced light rain throughout the day. Dense cloud cover prevented direct sunshine, resulting in a noticeable drop of nearly 2°C in the maximum temperature. The cooler conditions replaced the heat and humidity that had persisted over the previous week.

According to the latest IMD forecast, Pune is likely to experience light to moderate rain accompanied by cloudy skies on Monday and Tuesday. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 27°C, while the minimum temperature may dip slightly, making the weather pleasant.
Residents can expect occasional rain showers through the day, with no major weather disruptions currently predicted.
