Officials from the Building Development Department, including Junior Engineers Asmita Kute and Ajinkya Wankhede, Deputy Engineer Avinash Kamathe, and Executive Engineer Santosh Lanjekar, were present during the operation.

During the drive, PMC demolished an unauthorized permanent plinth structure measuring approximately 200 square feet. The operation was carried out with the assistance of one police officer, five police personnel, ten Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) personnel, two JCB machines, two gas cutters, two breakers, and ten labourers.

Following the demolition, Deputy Commissioner Somnath Bankar appealed to residents, particularly those in newly merged villages, not to purchase plots in unauthorized layouts or undertake illegal construction until Pune Municipal Corporation’s Development Plan (DP) is officially approved.

He warned that any unauthorized construction detected by the civic body would be demolished in accordance with the law and urged citizens to verify the legal status of land before making property investments.
