Pune Smart City ranks improves; 13th nationwide & 1st across Maharashtra
Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd, ranked first in the state of Maharashtra and thirteenth across the nation in the state and nation wide ranking. The information was announced by Pune Smart City Chief Executive Officer Dr Sanjay Kolte recently. Earlier Pune had ranked 15 th, while prior to the lockdown the ranking for Pune city was on the 17th number.
Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol on the increased performance and star ranking, he said, “Pune Smart City continued its development project even after the unlocking process began. Also to control the spread of Covid19, Pune smart city introduced Health Information Management System (HMIS) conducted several digital initiatives. Also, with the setting up of command and control center it has proven to be ahead of all the other cities working under the smart city mission. This has definitely helped them to gain star rankings.
