Pune : ACB nabs PMC official in bribery case

Pune: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Pune arrested an official of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) while accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
As per information from Arvind Mane, Police Inspector, Shivajinagar Police Station, the PMC official who took the bribe has been identified as Praveen Dattatray Pasalkar.
The person who filed a complaint with the ACB is a retired official from the PMC health department. For encashment of the complainant’s balance earned leave, Pasalkar demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the complainant. As soon as the ACB learnt about this, they caught Pasalkar red-handed and arrested him.
After ACB arrested the PMC official, a case has been registered with the Shivajinagar Police Station and further investigation is going on.
