Pune Metro likely to commence work on new metro routes soon

Pune: The Pune Metro is planning to start the work of two new metro routes mostly by August or September 2023.
As per information from Dr Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director, Public Relations and Administration, Maha Metro Pune, the Pune Metro is planning to start two new routes from Phugewadi to Civil Court and from Garware to Ruby Hall. All the required permissions have been taken from the concerned authorities. Only approval from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) is pending.”
It is worthy to note that the request to the CMRS has already been sent and the approval is expected to come by July end. Following this, the Pune Metro has planned to start the work of these two new metro routes by August or September 2023.
