Important : Railway Ticket Booking Counters to Remain Open During Ganeshotsav and Diwali
For the utmost convenience of passengers during popular festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi & Diwali, the Indian Railways has decided to keep the services of all of its 5 divisions open during day time on these 2 festivals.
As per information from Railway Division, the Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) has accorded approval for Sunday type working i.e. half day working on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival on Tuesday i.e. 19th September 2023 and on Diwali Festival on Tuesday i.e. 14th November 2023 from 8 am to 2 pm.
This decision is subject to the condition that adequate counters should remain open for emergency working for the convenience of the passengers.
Also, for the convenience of Railway employees along with passengers, the second shift of all PRS Centers will remain closed from 14:00 pm to 22:00 pm on 19th September 2023 and 14th November 2023.
