Pune: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) Rasta Peth GIS 132 KV Ultra High Voltage Substation will remain closed from Saturday i.e. September 9 at 1 p.m. to Monday i.e. September 11 till 12 noon for essential pre-scheduled maintenance and repairs. However, there will be no impact on the power supply as alternative arrangements have been made during this period.

As per information from MSEDCL, from this ultra-high voltage substation of MSEDCL, electricity is supplied to the areas of Rasta Peth, Parvati and Padmavati divisions through a total of 21 power lines, 11 of 22 KV and 10 of 11 KV of Mahavitaran.

In the background of festive days and rainy conditions, repair of some systems in this substation has become very necessary for a smooth power supply. So, the repair work of the system will be done by September 11.

During this period, electricity will be supplied to all 21 channels in alternative form by load management of 97 MW electricity from MSEDCL. For this, electricity will be supplied alternately from 220 KV Parbati, Fursungi and Khadki and 132 KV Fursungi and Mundhwa super high voltage substations.

The technical planning of alternative power supply has been completed and maintenance and repair works of related power lines and systems have also been completed. However, in case of failure of a 22 KV or 11 KV power line at this time, an alternative facility will not be available. This may cause a power outage in the area on the concerned channel. Information regarding the same will be given immediately to the concerned electricity consumers through SMS.

MSEDCL has appealed to electricity consumers to cooperate during this period.
